Founded by Bri Emery of DESIGNLOVEFEST and photographer Angela Kohler, BLOGSHOP has become a major hit in the blogging community. This weekend intensive workshop is an intro to photoshop specially catered to the design needs of the blog world. Needless to say, when I received an e-mail from Angela Thursday afternoon asking if I was interested in interning for them, I immediately cancelled all my weekend plans and booked a room in downtown Seattle. Even though I was already familiar with the techniques Bri and Angela taught, I was able to pick up some very valuable tips and tricks which I'm excited to make use of in my own design work. Whether it was the teachers, students or sponsors, everyone I interacted with had wonderful creative attitudes and amazing style. Needless to say, it was a fabulous weekend and I'm crossing my fingers BLOGSHOP comes to Vancouver next.

Madalen is one of those "since birth" friends. We grew up together in Abbotsford, but now we're both off at university in other cities and only return on holidays. We did this photo shoot as a tribute to our gloomy, but beautiful, home town.

These photos were taken on a trip to UBC to attend the annual Christmas at the Chan concert with my lovely roommate Lisa and our dear friend Andrew. Before the performance began, we took advantage of our beautiful surroundings for an impromptu photo shoot.

Alternative Space Art Show

Room 123 was an alternative space art show that I hosted along with the senior art class at TWU. It took place in Fraser student apartments 122 and 123 as a one-night-only celebration of art on campus. We experienced our first snow fall of the season that night, as well as a complete campus blackout, but it was nothing a handful of candles and live music couldn't fix! Chelsea and myself had the great honour of photographing Matt and Steph's wedding day on Saturday, July 9th, up in the hills around Cultus Lake. The ceremony was held outside in the sunshine, followed by a reception dinner and dance. It was a really beautiful day! Here is a sample of the photos I shot.

Today Chelsea and I went location scouting for the wedding we're shooting on Saturday. We found a marvellous little farm with rolling green hills and wonderfully distressed buildings. This is one of the test shots I took of Chelsea in front of an old shed on the property.

Today I had the honour of doing my first wedding photography! It was for Linda and Pierre, friends of my parents, who had a small garden wedding in our back yard. Their ceremony involved an acoustic guitarist, bright flowers, and plenty of lawn chairs.
